I'm not sure what you did wrong, but I've added a Subject and here is the text of your attachment: <paste> I've had my Dell 1720 , laptop for about 5 months and love it except for one minor I've never had either a Dell or a laptop - and gave away my Bluetooth mouse because I couldn't use it to dual-boot.

Dual boot - remove one OS.
I had thought, when I installed Vista on the new third hard drive, it would automatically give me that option during boot, but it didn't. I'll check it out and see what If you don't have dual boot, it usually means that the Vista installation did not see your XP drive (was it unplugged?) if so that's just fine.

At one point you had the legacy entry but was pointed to the wrong drive letter. Change the drive letter. C probably would have worked but with no info it's a guess. .... Can not connect to net after installing latest Windows Update
No, I have ONE drive with three partitions, C, D, E. I had a dual boot XP (on C) and Vista (on E) . First was XP, Vista installation through XP. How can I delete an empty partition?
You can remove the partition but can not change the drive letters or format. Drive manager has a message asking to refresh or restart which has no effect. The drive works fine under XP. I will addd that I have a dual boot machine XP/Vista64, so it is not a hardware problem with the computer. Any advice?

Back to multi-booting the RAID - again. . .
Second attempt, with KDE selected, also had a package failure, but I don't think that was significant. Checked rpm -qa again, still worked. No apparent corruption on other partitions. Unscrambling fstab for 2008.1 was a chore. Unfamiliarity with labels/UUIDs did not help. Have not executed all cron jobs, yet,

Installed Vista dual boot, think I screwed up!
I tried your settings and they did not make things any worse. :-) Hmmm, maybe the limit depends on the motherboard. I thought I'd be okay with 1GiB because I've read of others who do it but when it didn't work I set MaxPhysPage to 20000 and went up from there. Meanwhile, I have screwed myself, at least, temporarily

Problem with Frontpage 2002 acting very slow!!!
I have no floppy and do not see this. - Package manager does not work as nice as it was in 2008.0. Why is it selected by default "packages with gui" when "all" would be more useful, and the button to "search" restored. For a time "search" did nothing. Recently it has been working, but it is still flaky.

It is set up to dual boot into both extlinux and BartPE (pseudo- Windows). Rebuilding World Problems
I had dual boot for a while and then gave it up. My main problem was a shortage of space. Since Solaris can mount NTFS as read-only. And Windows can't mount ufs or zfs at all. Fat32 was a compromise but then i had to split my disk into 30gb chunks which made things very inconvenient. I recommend you install Windows
